Fashion fix Friday – 14th March edition
Going green for St Patrick’s Day
It’s Paddy’s day on Monday 17th March and a great excuse to wear green. Speaking to my customers, though, it seems that not everyone is quite sure how to wear green. Here are some tips and recommendations from the Boutique.
1. Pick up on this season’s must-have green tone (hemlock)
Skunkfunk have used this colour quite a bit for Spring / Summer. It’s a more muted green tone so great if you’re not sure about green.
I personally love Skunkfunk’s take on a floral pattern with hemlock green, darker greens and pretty coral. I’m currently coveting this fabulous summer dress – a great shape to wear for hourglass and pear shaped girls.
2. Wear green to be seen!
Petit Bateau has used vibrant, jewel-like green in their collection – single colour, as stripes and in florals. Think chic French styling – wear together if you’re feeling brave or wear with navy for a classic combination. My favourites are these tops and skirt.
3. Accessorise it up!
If this is all new for you, an easy way to begin a love affair with green is to wear it in your accessories. Think scarves, rings, earrings and, of course, necklaces. You decide how much green you want to wear and the tone. If that all still feels a bit too much, why not pick a green bag!
