G is for… gorgeous and uncommon fashion
Just g Boutique brings more new & affordable fashion to Edinburgh
As you know, I recently opened Just g Boutique with the goal of bringing Edinburgh shoppers new, exciting and affordable brands. I’m pleased to tell you that current season Skunkfunk, Nancy Dee, Fever and WWUL are all unique to Just g. There’s also a larger selection of Goldie, Kling and Pit Fashion to tempt.
Uncommon fashion that’s kind to your purse and the environment
Nancy Dee and Skunkfunk not only create beautifully designed and timeless pieces, they both have a philosophy of sustainable fashion. This means shipping not flying; recycled packaging; using natural (not man-made) fibres and organic cotton. Nancy Dee is designed and made in Britain so you can also feel comfortable about the production standards and staff remuneration.
These brands also don’t cost you a packet – dresses for both average between £70 and £80 and tops from £25. Definitely comparable with the High Street.
NANCY DEE
Nancy Dee is an ethical womenswear label specialising in day-to-night jersey. Designed and made in Britain and inspired by retro designs, the collections rework classic shapes with bold prints and strong colour palettes.
Nancy Dee offers accessible eco-fashion. The materials used – organic cotton, soya bean, bamboo, linen and silk – are made from fibres extracted from renewable sources and fully biodegradable.
Just g’s view: The jersey fabric used is super “touchy” and gives the garments a fabulous fit. You will feel absolutely gorgeous and you’ll be back for more!
SKUNKFUNK
Skunk funk started back in 1996 in Basque Country (northern Spain) with a simple T-shirt collection. Rooted in music festivals, Skunkfunk has always been connected to urban attitudes, art & beats. The style has been influenced by fashion and culture in cities like Barcelona, Bilbao, San Francisco and Berlin. Skunkfunk believes in a different way of making fashion, working to make a difference both in style and sustainability
Just g’s view: We love how Skunkfunk plays around with colour, pattern and shapes to make the clothes vibrant and individual. Skunkfunk’s ethical philosophy and vegan accessories help keep our conscience clear. Bring a little of the Spanish sunshine to your wardrobe!
Pop by for your retail fix – your wardrobe and your conscience (oh & me) will thank you! New autumn fashion is arriving weekly and there’s a sale rail with some summer clothes if you’ve a sunny break coming up.
As usual, you can follow my musings and see pictures of new stock on Facebook or Twitter. There’s also Instagram at Just_g_fashion or I’m on Pinterest too!
Happy shopping,
